After a couple of years of doing relief and almost zero surgeries (other than a laceration or two), I decided I needed to de-rust my scalpel skills. The pictures are quite good. Each step is detailed and well described. However, the suture pattern is poorly written and confusing if you haven't done the pattern before. Additionally, though the author does mention anatomic landmarks, she does so rarely and only briefly. Ultimately, if you feel fairly confident but just want to brush up or want a simpler supplement to the Textbook of Small Animal Surgery, I think this is an excellent book. I would not recommend it for students though. There are more comprehensive, detailed texts out there.
All the useless facts that you can't remember anyway are left out. Presented in an easy to understand, easy to remember format. This is really all you need.Sure to take its place among the finest ever published for general surgeons.Yonatan Cohen ,Israel

I really liked the book, the informaiton is very clear, there are good tips in it, I would recomend this book to be a basic one in your Veterinary library.
