The 3 Stars I left is a little high. Thing is, I don't completely DISLIKE it. It will serve its purpose, just not as I'd intended it. Do you see the enlarged picture of the neck of a bass guitar on this poster? THAT is the only thing about this thing that matches up with most reviews I read here. "Good for older eyes" (Yeah, if you happen to keep a pair of binoculars handy.)The scales themselves? I don't have time to make all the wisecracks I could about this. Myself, I cut the poster up into manageable squares, like flash cards used in schools back in the 1960's and 70's so I could put one on a mic mounted music stand I have where I can reference it. But to try to look at this thing, any of the scales from a distance??? Most of the positive reviews I read that reinforced my buying decision are ludicrous. Good luck.
Purchased this poster for my son, who recieved a bass for Christmas. Large and good quality poster. I know nothing about the bass, so I can’t add anything about the info on the poster, but he seemed pleased with it. Hopefully it will be useful for him in the future.
I have this up in my practice area. Easy to read. I pick one and just run it over and over until my fingers fall off :)
I ordered this and the banjo about the same time. The banjo one arrived first. Than this one. The banjo has the neck of the banjo arranged horizontally. The bass is shown in a vertical manner. Harder to reference vertically. Would be better if pictured horizontal. Other than that. A true music school size poster. Easy to read from a distance.
The scale are smaller than I thought for a "Wall" chart..... It's kind of hard to practice cords on the bass while looking at the chart through a pair of Binoculars....
nice and large, easily read from a distance, simple and usefull
Got it framed in a cheap aluminum frame and hanging on the wall. I like it as a quick reference as this chart is limited to only few chords.
I bought this chart and saw there were 2 musical scales that I had not heard of: Diminished Half-whole, and Whole Tone. I like the display of scales and fingerings. This is good for practicing different modes with the convenience of a poster as reference.
