"Wordpress for Beginners" is a bit misleading in that the book doesn't explain WordPress. The subtitle is 100% accurate - the book is free, and focuses on getting you a WordPress website in under 30 minutes (the amount of time it should take, I agree, to read the "booklet" - it is very short - and set up the site).The idea is to give the reader a little kick start, cross-sell IPage Hosting, and then upsell other books to get new WordPress users up and running. It is for absolute beginners, the hosting service uses cpanel - so other services with cpanel will likely have similar steps. I was hoping for a little more content about WordPress, but for an absolute newbie who wants to be guided to a hosting provider and get their site running, this does the trick, and although the hosting service is NOT free, the step by step instructions in the book ARE free.
Basically just one big advertisement, not much info at all that one would need to accomplish anything. For $0 though I cannot complain.
I doubt if this review will stay up,but we'll see. I bought this book thinking it was going to teach about how start a blog on WordPress. Turns out it is a book length advertisement for a website hosting company and the authors website building business.
Not at all helpful. However, one can’t complain too much when the Kindle price is Free!
